Harvesters can also harvest pigeon peas – Workshop on pigeon pea labor-saving mechanized harvesting technology demonstration
The pigeon pea is a very important crop in the indigenous village. It is rich in protein and provides sufficient physical strength for the tribal warriors. Therefore, it is also known as "warrior beans". In addition, it is also closely related to the traditional culture and life of the indigenous people. Traditionally, pigeon peas are harvested by hand. However, in the face of aging tribal manpower, the HDARES actively improved the cultivation technology so that pigeon peas can also be harvested mechanically. It also hopes that through the use of mechanized technology established to increase the cultivation area of pigeon peas, so that the original local specialty crops can be produced economically, and more people can enjoy delicious pigeon peas. Through the efforts of researchers at the HDARES, the technology for mechanized pigeon pea harvesting has been initially established, and has been promoted on March 30.
