Borrow wisdom from the ancestors, inventory and empower the traditional farming knowledge of the indigenous people
Hualien County is an area of the indigenous people, and the main ethnic groups include the Amis, Taroko, Bunun, Kavalan, Sakizaya, and Sediq. Indigenous ethnic groups have rich traditional farming knowledge and ecological management experience, which is conducive to maintaining the diversity and sustainability of agriculture. For this reason, the HDARES entered the original tribes to take stock of farming knowledge and food culture. Serve as a reference for improving food security and responding to climate change, and make every effort to preserve and promote the traditional farming wisdom of the indigenous people.
