Environmental cooling technology to reduce the damage caused by beet armyworm
In order to solve the intensified harm caused by the beet armyworm due to climate change in recent years, the HDARES has conducted a number of experiments in recent years to help farmers suppress the occurrence of the pest and increase the yield of green onions. The HDARES was conducted in Sanxing Township, Yilan County on October 17 " Field Workshop on Enhancing the Control Effect of Beet Armyworm with Green Onion Environmental Cooling Technology " demonstrated that black net shading and night-time water spraying in green onion fields can effectively reduce the damage caused by Beet Armyworm, which attracted great interest from farmers.
