Arrowroot transforms into diverse snack foods

In Yuli Town, Hualien County, the Ceroh tribe not only produces rice but also cultivates arrowroot, mainly for the production of arrowroot starch. In recent years, the Ceroh tribe has attempted to develop a more diverse range of arrowroot processing products. The HDARES has implemented the "Reclaiming Vitality - Core Technology Research and Development and Dissemination for Sustainable Agriculture in Indigenous Areas" project, utilizing arrowroot as a raw material to develop processing and value-added techniques for its starch and fiber. This initiative has guided the Ceroh tribe in developing unique indigenous agricultural processed products and has also provided an opportunity for the reuse of arrowroot fiber by-products.
