A New Variety of Cat-tail Willow ‘Lanyang No. 1’
cultivate succeed date：December 23, 2003
The Lanyang No. 1 has big flower buds and red bud-scales. Flower buds are composed of 2-4 inflorescences. The average of flower buds width is 1.15 cm, about 1.8 times wider than Chinese Shanghai variety. The flower bud was big and the bud–scales color was red. The flower bud number was 38, as counted from the top one meter branch. The vase life of branches was over 6 weeks.
